Pick your own Blueberries

July 2, 2015

With the mild spring and a long pollinating season, the blueberries are looking good.  The late winter and early spring found us pruning out dead canes from the previous growing season.  The vigorous new growth is supporting a good crop of berries.  They are different sizes with the larger ones ripening first.

We anticipate opening for pick your own blueberries the  second week of July.  We have tried to pinpoint previous openings based on growing degree days - but there is no correlation that we can find.

Below is a overview of our blueberry field: you are looking to the north, Hwy 61 is on the left and the blueberries are center and to the left.
